  • This is somewhat off topic, but I think it bears saying. I have been extremely impressed with the attitude shown by Dr. King's family regarding this. They have shown a lot of class and grace.

  • Stalls cause a crash when you can't get out of the way (i.e. when you don't have any monentum). That's why there have been only three crashes with this Toyota ECM problem, even though many thousands have stalled.

  • It is unlikely for a stall to cause a crash. Usually, one can get off the road safely and phone for help. I don't say that to minimize the problem. People still have to wait for a tow truck and make arrangements to get to their destination.
